The Austrian Rätikon
The name Rätikon denotes a mountain range on the border between Vorarlberg, Liechtenstein and Switzerland. The mountain range is a site of historical Alpinism. In 1610 the Schesaplana in the Brand Valley became the queen of the mountains at the end of the Rätikon range – one of the first ascents to be summited. On the Austrian side the Brand Valley is the most important valley in the region.
