Hiking, Golfing, Riding and Playing Tennis

In summer the Schesaplana region is a true Eldorado for hikers, golfers, tennis players, horse riders, archers, fishermen, mountain bikers, paragliders and white-water rafters. Just a golf drive away from the Alpenhotel Zimba, the Brand golf course, with 18 holes, invites you to tee off and putt. The nearby riding arena is available to both beginners and competent riders.

There are more than 400 kms of hiking routes which start from the village, the Niggenkopf or the Lünersee further into the Rätikon massif. There are 13 indoor or outdoor tennis courts where you can either play a match or just exercise. You don’t only find water lovers in the Alvier bathing lake, the 1400 sq.m natural lake is filled with drinking water direct from the source so that’s how it achieves the best water quality.

Pure nature – bathing is fun. The Alvier bathing lake is fed by the clearest Brand spring water and warmed by solar energy. The natural bathing lake with its large lawn invites you to swim and relax.

There are 9 outdoor and 4 indoor tennis courts where you can play match tennis or relaxing rallies.

A walk through the varied landscape of the Brand Valley: over lush meadows and through thick forests to the alpine pastures then up to the highest mountain peaks. In the Rätikon massif there are over 400 kms of well signposted hiking trails. From the easy family hikes to the overnight climbs  - everything is possible around the Alpenhotel Zimba. Of course the many rustic huts and modern mountain restaurants await the exhausted hiker to spoil them with local delicacies.
